- 2 · Set sensitivity
- Raise the sensitivity until the display shows it catching the piercing peaks, then ease back so it only acts on the harsh moments.
- 3 · Focus the top
- Keep the action in the harsh region — roughly 6–12 kHz for sizzle, lower for metallic ring — so the body of the kit is untouched.
- 4 · Set the depth
- Dial the amount so the top end is smooth but still bright. A little goes a long way; aim to round off the spikes, not erase them.
